Cliche Much?

The annual carnival came into town and Rose couldn't be more excited, she had waited all year for them to come back into town, and this year, she was determined to bring Allen along.

"C'mon Allen!!! The firework display starts soon! The line for the Ferris Wheel is gonna be too long for us to get on if we don't hurry!!"

"Calm down Rose, we'll get there in time." He sighed and smiled a bit, he adored how energetic she was, sometimes.

As they approached the Ferris Wheel, Rose wiggled in anticipation. She could hardly contain her excitement.

"Finally, it's our turn to get on. Are you ready?"

"I guess I'm as ready as I ever be, but aren't ou afraid of heights?"

"There's no time to worry about that now."

The two boarded the ride, Allen could feel the intense grip Rose had around his arm. She was indeed terrified of heights, and he couldn't quite wrap around his head why she was getting on this ride with him.
Nearing the top, the lights on the Ferris Wheel shut off, and the ride came to an abrupt stop, causing Rose to squeal in fear and cling to Allen, who wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"Hey, it's alright. No need to be scared. I told you this was a bad idea and you didn't wanna listen. Why don't we go on something less taxing? Like the swan boats?"

"Well... we couldn't see the fireworks from down there, now could we??"

As if on queue, the fireworks began to go off, lighting the dark night sky with an endless plethora of colors. It was breathtaking.
The two looked into each others eyes, and shared a sweet kiss as the night sky above them erupted in sound and colors.

The End.
